Mr. Waleed Dhaduk
Chief Executive Officer
Waleed Dhaduk is the Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Industries & Investments (Pvt.) JSC (“EII”) where he is responsible for leading the company’s overall strategy, managing the investment portfolio, and delivering the growth plan. Mr. Dhaduk was previously the Chief Investment Officer of EII, a position he held since 2016.
Mr. Dhaduk is also a member of the Investment Committee of EII and sits on the Boards of various investee companies including Memaar Building Systems, Starwood Industries, Gutmann Middle East, AASA, Leaders Fort Contracting, Service Market and Abode Investments. In addition to this, Mr. Dhaduk is a Board and an Investment Committee member of Dubai Angel Investors, a leading technology investment platform.
Mr. Dhaduk represents over 19 years of global professional experience in private equity, strategy consulting and investment banking. Throughout his career, he has been repeatedly recognized for delivering growth and creating value across the investment management value chain. Before joining EII, Mr. Dhaduk was a Partner at Stratum, a private equity and investment advisory firm in Bahrain, where he was responsible for originating, evaluating, structuring, executing and managing investments across a range of sectors.
Prior to Stratum, Mr. Dhaduk served in various strategy consulting and investment banking roles in Bahrain and Canada at leading global firms including Ernst & Young, Canadian Tire Corporation, Cap Gemini and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Dhaduk holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Queen’s University in Canada. Additionally, Mr. Dhaduk has pursued various courses in Economics and Finance at the London School of Economics and Harvard University.
Mr. Faisal Ishaque
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Faisal Ishaque is the Chief Financial Officer of Emaar Industries & Investments (EII). Reporting to the CEO, he leads the company’s accounting, business support, financial planning and treasury functions.
He began his career 25 years ago with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ever since, he has built up a solid professional track record at premier corporate entities in emerging markets delivering across borders with the proven ability to develop strategic, transformational approaches and follow through to implementation; in sectors as diverse as pre-engineered steel fabrications, engineering, construction, FMCG, automotive, tobacco, petro chemical, and insurance.
Before joining EII, Mr. Ishaque was Group CFO at MCG, a regional manufacturing and contracting conglomerate, where he controlled the Finance and Treasury Functions, spearheading Debt Restructuring, Settlements and Acquisition Financing.
Prior to that, he was Acting President and CFO of Mabani Steel (An Al Rajhi Group Company). At Mabani, he was instrumental in developing the strategic framework to successfully reposition the company as a differentiated competitor; winning market share boosting profitability, and restoring shareholder confidence through double-digit EBITDA growth.
Mr. Ishaque is also a member of the Investment Committee of EII and seats in the Board of Directors of Memaar Building Systems and AASA.
Mr. Ishaque holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
Miss Dana Noueihed
Dana Noueihed is an Investment Manager at Emaar Industries and Investments (EII) where her key responsibilities involve screening and evaluating deals, as per EII’s investment criteria, and presenting investment proposals to the senior management and investment committee of EII. Dana also works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to implement EII’s investment strategy and assists in managing the existing portfolio of investments. Dana spent one year as an investment associate managing the existing portfolio and helped in implementing EII’s business propositions to unlock and maximize value in preparation for exit.
Dana brings with her over 10 years of experience in investment advisory and corporate finance in the Middle East, UK and Europe. Prior to joining EII, Dana was a Senior Associate at leading high net worth family office in Lebanon, where she focused on managing M&A transactions and monitoring portfolio companies related to various industries including banking, insurance, luxury retail and others. Previously, she was a Manager at PwC in the Transaction Services team executing financial due diligence and valuation projects across the Middle East focusing on retail, insurance and FMCG. Dana was also an Associate at Barclays in London where she was involved in a wide range of M&A transactions focusing on Banks and Wealth Management clients in Europe. She began her career in investments at Gulf Capital in UAE, where she actively participated in origination, analysis and execution of private equity deals in MENA.
Across her experience, Dana’s main responsibilities included project management, recommending clients and partners optimum solutions for deal structuring and execution in addition to assisting executive teams in setting and achieving their business plan.
Dana earned a Master of Finance degree from the Judge Business School at Cambridge University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from the Lebanese American University.
Mr. Meet Shah
Mr. Meet Shah is the Financial Controller at Emaar Industries & Investments (EII). Reporting to the CFO, Meet is responsible for handling financial control and reporting, group consolidation, treasury & finance, working closely with auditors and advisors, accounting and budgeting functions including providing necessary business support to the portfolio companies of EII.
Prior to joining EII, Meet was associated as a Finance Manager with a large UAE based conglomerate having diversified business verticals. He was primarily responsible for fund raising, management reporting and working capital management. His range of experience includes leading the negotiation & documentation process with the syndicate banks, financial advisors and legal counsel.
Meet brings with him over 11 years of experience and started his professional career with Price Waterhouse (an affiliate firm of ‘PwC’) in India and was also associated with Ernst & Young (‘EY’) in Dubai. In both these roles, he was responsible for independently conducting statutory audits of listed and unlisted companies having operations in oil & gas, construction, real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, engineering, technology, media & entertainment as well as trading.
Meet is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Company Secretary from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a graduate in Commerce from Gujarat University, India.
Mr. Yaser Ibrahim Hmedan
General Counsel & Company Secretary
Mr. Yaser is the “General Counsel and Company Secretary ” at Emaar Industries and Investments (Pvt.) JSC, reporting to the Board of Directors, Mr. Hmedan is responsible for the EII Board, Legal and administrative support and guidance to the Board of Directors, including compliance with legal and statutory requirements and providing legal advisory to the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in his area of expertise as Lawyer and Legal Consultant.
Mr. Yaser is Law graduated from University of Damascus in Syria then he completed LLM for commercial Law, and practiced in Syria as Corporate, Commercial, Insurance Lawyer and Legal consultant since 1993. Prior to joining Emaar Industries and Investments (Pvt.), he was the Senior Legal Advisor, Compliance Officer and Board Secretary of Al Sagr National Insurance Company listed in Dubai Financials Market (DFM) & in addition he was the Secretary of the Legal & Motor Committee in Emirates Insurance Association, and prior to that he was the Head of Legal Department at MAG Group.
Mr. Arif Zaman
Senior Internal Audit Manager
Mr. Arif Zaman is the “Senior Internal Audit Manager” at Emaar Industries and Investments (EII). Arif is responsible to leads the Internal Audit function with direct reporting to the Audit Committee.
He brings with more than a decade of proven experience in internal audit, risk management and fraud investigation.
Before joining EII, Mr. Arif was the Group Internal Audit Manager at HSA Group based in Dubai, where he was responsible to look after all the regional teams, carrying out audit activities in diverse industries and sectors across the globe with primary focus in Middle East, Asia and Africa regions.
Prior to HSA Group, Mr. Arif served for Telenor (Telecommunication sector) as Internal Audit Executive responsible for finance and technology audit engagements along with various special need engagements. Before that, Mr. Arif work with Ernst & Young (EY) as a Senior Consultant at Business Risk Advisory Services. He provided an exceptional internal audit and risk consultancy services to high-net-work clients of diverse background in banking, services, manufacturing, regulatory and telecommunication sector.
Mr. Arif holds a MSc in Professional Accountancy from University of London and BSc Hons in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University along with an impressive set of professional certification including the following: Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certificate in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certificate in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Risk Based Auditor (CRBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified General Accountant (CGA) and ISO 31000 etc.
